Configurator hosts common details of a listing such as listing attributes like condition, brand, currency, variation attributes like size, colour, categories the listing will be submitted to, site the listing will be created on etc. From the Amazon Configurators screen it is possible to add, edit, delete and duplicate configurators.

1.Create a New Configurator
1.1 Configs -> Amazon Configurators;
1.2 Click Add New button to create a new configurator. It will appear at the bottom and will have a standard name New Amazon Configurator(0).
1.3 Double-click on the cell in the Config Name column to change the default name of the configurator;
2. Define Configurator's General Settings
2.1 Click on the cell in the Site column to select the site from the drop-down box;
2.2. Click on the cell in the Category column to select the category from the drop-down box;
2.3 Click on the cell in the SubType column to select the subcategory from the drop-down box;
3. Specify Shipping Services and Shipping Costs
In the Shipping section in Amazon Configurator you can select shipping different shipping options for your listings:
3.1 Select Default option to use default account-level shipping settings for all products listed using given configurator.
3.2 Select Simple Options to select Ship Internationally and Expedited Shipping options that differ from your default shipping services. Items listed using given configurator will have the selected shipping options.
3.3 Select Shipping Override to create specific shipping rules for products that will be listed using given configurator. Options selected here will override shipping settings selected in your Amazon account. With Shipping Overrides option enabled, default shipping settings will be used in listings only if a shipping option is not added in the Shipping Override section.
a) From the Shipping cost currency drop-down box select required currency;
b) Click Add Shipping button to add Shipping service to the configurator;
c) Click on the shipping service name to select the required shipping service from the drop-down list. Shipping services displayed in the list vary from country to country;
d) Service Level will be matched to each Shipping Option automatically;
e) In the Shipping Cost Default Value enter a value that will be used as a shipping cost when no extended property is selected to specify shipping cost;
f) From the Extended Property drop-down list select extended property for Amazon shipping cost that has been assigned to inventory items (if any);
g) From the Type drop-down box select the shipping cost type:
- Exclusive - replaces current account-level shipping charge with a completely new shipping charge for one SKU; - Additive - adds an extra charge to current account-level shipping charge for one SKU;
h) Tick Is Restricted to exclude the selected shipping service from the listing. Note that if a shipping option is not selected in LinnLive, then settings selected in the Amazon account for this shipping method will be used in listings. This is why in order to exclude such shipping service Is Restricted option has to be selected.
4. Allocate Browse Nodes for the Listings
Browse nodes available in the list are derived from Amazon depending on the category chosen. When using extended properties to specify browse nodes, Id of the browse node has to be entered as the value for extended property.
4.1 Click on the Browse Nodes button;
4.2 Select browse nodes that will be used when using this configurator by clicking green "+" button (Fig 4.1);
4.3 Tick Default box against browse nodes to set the nodes as default for the items where extended property for browse node is not added. Maximum 2 browse nodes can be marked as default (Fig 4.2);
4.4 Select Only first browse node in the Option for default browse nodes, if inventory items have an extended property for browse node (Fig 4.3);
4.5 In the Extended property for first browse node drop-down box select the extended property for first browse node, if such is added to inventory items (Fig 4.3);
4.6 Select Both first and second browse node in the Option for default browse nodes, if there are extended properties for two browse nodes assigned to inventory items;
4.7 In the Extended property for second browse node drop-down box select the extended property for 2nd browse node, if such is added to inventory items.

5. Specify Attributes to be Used in Listings
Fields in the Attributes section are retrieved from Amazon (Fig 5.1). Those in the red background are required to be filled by Amazon. It is also possible to drag and drop additional attributes to be included in the product listing from the left hand side to the right and map to the Extended Property or specify default value. Recommended attributes are marked with yellow colour and in white background are optional attributes.
5.1 Click button in the Attributes column;
5.2 If extended properties have been used to specify values for the attributes, select the respective extended property for each attribute from the Extended Property drop-down box;
5.3 Enter the default value to be used when items have no extended property for the attribute assigned;
5.4 (Use only if required and for variation listings only) Tick Is Variation against the attribute to mark the attribute as variation attribute. This will assign the marked attributes to variation products. Read more about it in 2.1.96 Release Notes.
6. Add Attributes for Variations (Only for Variation Products)
6.1 If main item of the variation group has an extended property for variation item title, map it with Extended property for variation title (Fig 6.1). Otherwise Variation Group Name will be used as the variation title;
6.2 Select the desired variation theme from the Selected variation theme drop-down box. This will add variation attributes to the Variations window;
6.3 From the Extended Property drop-down box select the extended property for each variation attribute added to each item of the variation group;
6.4 In the Default Value cell add a value to be used when a variation item has no extended property for variation attribute.
7. Revise Configurator (if required)
If information in the Amazon configurator has been changed and needs to be updated on the channel, use the Revise configurator option. During revision each listing associated with the configurator will be updated.
7.1 Select the configurator to be revised;
7.2 Click Revise Selected button at the top of the Amazon Configurators screen (7.1);
7.3 Review the information about the selected listings (total number of listings to be revised and estimated time for the revision) before revising the listings;
7.4 Tick check-boxes against the parameters to be updated on all the selected listings (7.2);
7.5 Click Revise button.

8. Duplicate Configurator (if required)
LinnLive offers the possibility to duplicate configurators to save time when there is a need to create several identical configurators which differ slightly. E.g. if you need to have identical configurators for one and the same site and category. Sometimes it is faster to duplicate a configurator and alter it than create a brand new configurator. When duplicated configurator is created, "(0)" is added to the end of the configurator's title. This title can be edited.
8.1 Select the configurator to be duplicated;
8.2 Click Duplicate Selected button at the top of the Amazon Configurators screen (8.1);
8.3 Duplicated configurator will appear at the bottom of the Amazon Configurators screen (8.2);
8.4 Alter the settings of the configurator;
8.5 Click Save Changes button at the top of the Amazon Configurators screen;
8.6 Click Yes to the question 'Are you sure you want to save changes?'.
