Problem:

You receive an error, after synchronization or leaving Linnworks running for a some time.

A transport-level error has occurred when sending the request to the server. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.)

Cause:

Client disconnects from the server and connection cannot be restored immediately. Server dumps all connections that do not respond in reasonable time or heavily throttled, in order to restore connection software restrat is required or even a PC reboot.

This is caused by the client side, for the following reasons:

  • PC went into sleep mode
  • Network card turned off - Power Saving
  • Router closed the inactive connection
  • Router buffer overflow (well known problem with BT and SKY routers, in fact most ISP's freebie routers are not designed for heavy internet use)

Solution:
