Overview

This guide covers how to edit Rules with regards to Enabling/Disabling, changing the sequence and adding/changing the conditions/actions

Enabling / Disabling

Rules

  • Rules will only run if they are enabled and will only run a paid order
  • Click on the slider control in the Enabled column to toggle the Enabled / Disabled state (Fig 1.1)
  • Rules that are enabled are displayed as per image (Fig 1.2)
  • Rules that are disabled are displayed as per image (Fig 1.3)

Conditions

  • To toggle the Enabled state of a condition open the rule for editing, by clicking on the Edit (pencil) button (Fig 2.1)
  • Click on the Spanner to enable modification of the settings for a condition (Fig 2.2)
  • A pop up button menu will be displayed above the condition (F2.3)
  • Click on the slider to toggle the state between Enabled and Disabled (Fig 2.4)
  • A disabled condition will turn grey to clearly display it's state (Fig 2.5)

Changing Sequence

Rules

  • Each enabled rule is run on an order in the sequence displayed
  • This sequence s also confirmed by number displayed in the Order column
  • To change the sequence of the rules click on the relevant Arrow (Up/Down) button (Fig 3.1)

Conditions

It is possible to move a condition with all of the associated sub-conditions and actions up and down the tree within the set of conditions that are defined at the same node level within the tree structure

  • Click on the Spanner to enable modification of the settings for a condition (Fig 4.1)
  • A pop up button menu will be displayed above the condition (Fig 4.2)
  • To change the sequence of the condition set click on the relevant Arrow (Up/Down) button

Copying

Rules

  • Copying a rule will create a new rule that is an exact duplication of the original rule
  • The new rule will need to be given a unique name
  • To copy a rule, click the Duplicate Rule button (Fig 5.1)

Conditions

It is possible to copy a condition with all of the associated sub-conditions and actions to create a new condition that is an exact duplicate of the original condition.

  • Click on the Spanner to enable modification of the settings for a condition (Fig 6.1)
  • A pop up button menu will be displayed above the condition (Fig 6.2)
  • To copy the condition click the Copy button
  • Then you will have to choose to copy just the condition, the condition with all subconditions, or the condition with all subconditions and actions.
  • Finally, pick where you would like this new condition to start.

Deleting

Rules

  • Deleting a rule will delete it completely. There is no Undo function.
  • To delete a rule, click the Delete Rule button (Fig 7.1)

Conditions

  • Deleting a rule will delete it completely. The only way to reverse this would be to discard all changes without saving.
  • Click on the Spanner to enable modification of the settings for a condition (Fig 8.1)
  • A pop up button menu will be displayed above the condition (Fig 8.2)
  • To delete the condition click the Delete button
  • This will delete the condition, and any other conditions that follow from it.
