Channel Inventory Synchronization

Overview

Linnworks is assumed to be the central repository of your stock levels. Stock levels are synchronized across all channels from Linnworks master stock.

When the stock level changes for a particular item, Linnworks goes to all the channels and updates the available stock level on all the integrated selling venues automatically.

By the same token when you make a sale on one channel, this results in a stock level change and Linnworks will update all the venues to indicate that one of the sold items is no longer available.

Linnworks uses Inventory Mapping to link the items in your inventory to the listings on your various selling channels. When you specify a mapping in a selling channel, Linnworks will create an association between the inventory item and the channel listing that allows it to synchronise stock levels and update the listing. Inventory Mapping is essential for ensuring that changes to the stock levels in your inventory get pushed to your selling channels. You need to complete Inventory Mapping for every channel that you have integrated in Linnworks so that each one can be updated with the latest stock levels.

Overselling

Because linnworks tracks all the sales and inventory levels, the synchronization will ensure you don't oversell by keeping available quantity for all listings on all channels up-to-date.
