Going Live - Shipping

To print shipping labels from Linnworks the following areas need to be configured

Linnworks Postal Service Method

  • Linnworks Postal Service Methods act as an intermediary between the postal service as selected on the channel by the buyer and the courier that is used to ship the order
  • Where a shipping method is required a Postal Service Method must be defined 

Channel Postal Mapping

  • To automatically assign an order to a Linnworks Postal Service Method the channel postal service must be mapped in the channel config
  • This can be a many-to-one relationship, i.e. multiple channel shipping methods can map to one Linnworks Postal Service method
  • E.G.

Courier Mapping

  • To print the correct courier shipping label the Linnworks Postal Service Method must be mapped to a courier shipping method
  • This is a one-to-one relationship, i.e. one Linnworks Postal Service method can only map to one courier shipping method
  • Each required courier must be integrated
  • The Linnworks Postal Method must be mapped to a Courier Service
  • Linnworks Postal Service Methods that are not mapped will print a generic label
